" I have a 13-year-old daughter with a rare cancer. It is Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma. Sierra is the second known case in Georgia. We live in a small town here in Georgia. I tried a lot of places to get help, because we have to travel 6 hrs. Total round trip, to get my daughter to the hospital in Atlanta Ga. for treatments. This was a weekly trip for our family. No agency locally would help or could help our family. I was given the name and the number of the Jeremy Foundation from another organization called The Chandlelighters but they are out of Maryland. The Chandlelighters couldn’t help because they only help families in their state. The Jeremy Foundation helped us with gas for our trips, which was 1 month and 3 weeks and we went 2 to 3 times in those weeks. One week Sierra had to stay in the hospital. This put an additional financial burden on our family. I had to pay for my meals and we also had to pay for parking this ranged from $2 to $5 a day. The Jeremy Foundation assisted with gas cards as well as food and parking money. The Jeremy Foundation is a Godsend, and they were truly for my family and me. If there is anybody out there that can help The Jeremy Foundation please consider making a monetary gift to help other families like myself God bless you. "

"My daughter has been fighting a tumor behind her eye for 2 1/2 years. We\'ve
been all over the state of Florida seeing different specialists, to
no avail. We've been to Indiana for proton beam radiation and to Texas to see yet another specialist. This has put a great financial burden on our family. Not only the traveling expenses, but I had to quit work to be available for my daughter and my husband has to take off work to be there for different appointments. The Jeremy Foundation has been a GREAT help to my family. They have provided our family with financial support to help cover the costs of both of our out-of-state trips. I cannot thank Dianne and the foundation enough for being so sweet and helpful. Hopefully there will come a day that I will be able to help them back."

"Dear Dianne/ Jeremy Foundation, Forgive me for this overdue letter. We would like to thank you for all the help you gave us to prepare our home for Christopher to come home after his bone marrow transplant. After Christoher\'s diagnosis on 10/8/02 we continued to make the most of everyday we had. His
relapse on 4/13/04 was devastating. We knew there was so much to do once we made the decision to go to the bone marrow transplant route. The mold problem in our basement caught us totally off
guard. Since we spent our days at the hospital, we need to thank you for assisting our friends in getting the basement cleaned out with the bins you provided. Finding someone to replace our back door and for regarding our lawn. All these things helped in getting our basement prepared to be gutted and standing water removed form our yard, to prevent future mold problems. Thanks to the Jeremy Foundation and you for helping to get our home ready for Christopher\'s return. The cost of redoing our basement was overwhelming. It needed to be done, so
every bit of help you gave us was so appreciated. Thank you for helping families with the costs of cancer. Every penny you give is appreciated. Sincerely, Darlene W. Melkonian"

"I have a daughter that was diagnosed with bone cancer back in November 2005. It has been a long and rough journey but we have almost made it to the end of it. As of today (July 19, 2006) we have only 4
chemo's left and one more round of surgery to remove spots on her lungs. The doctors say she should make a total recovery. Thank God. I want to personally thank Miss Diane for helping us out in our time of need. Without you help I don’t know how we could have done it. Thanks so much for the gas cards and parking tickets. Traveling back and forth to John’s Hopkins and with the price of gas now a days the gas cards come in handy. Again thanks Dianne and god bless you and your family. Sincerely, Darlene Sensabaugh"

"This letter is so long overdue, that I am almost too embarrassed to send it. Last year, our
daughter Kasey was diagnosed with pediatric lung cancer. As you can imagine, our family was devastated, shocked and a host of other emotions. At the time, our social worker at Johns Hopkins told us about the Jeremy Foundation. We submitted our paperwork, and almost instantly (it seemed)
received a call from you. You may not remember, but we spoke for almost an hour that first time. You told me about you nephew and about how you came to start the Jeremy Foundation. You also sent us gas cards. I
didn't know how helpful those cards would be when we spoke that night. However, the relief that they provided (along with the parking passes and coupons!) was incredible. It was one less thing to worry about and I was worrying plenty! The cards allowed us to get Kasey to treatments weekly without taxing our family savings. It may not seem like much to some families, but to ours it was a true Godsend from the angel. We are so grateful for the kindness and
generosity of your Foundation, and you beautiful spirit as well! I am happy to say that Kasey is doing well and will start kindergarten next week. Thank You so very much.
I'm sorry it has taken so long to get this to you, but please know you are a great person and i will never forget your kindness. God Bless, Maggi Lewis"

">Our six year old, Thomas, was originally diagnosed with A.L.L. Leukemia when he was still two in 2003 and had reached the maintenance stage when a relapse occurred on June 20th of this year. It has been a whirlwind since then. His first round of treatment did not totally remove the Leukemia from his bone marrow and he is at the end of the second round. We will find out on Wednesday if his bone marrow and spinal fluid are clean so we can move on to the radiation stage. If all goes as hoped, on September 21st, he will get a bone marrow transplant from his 9 year old brother, Nicholas, who was a perfect match. Thomas has been a trooper and has showed such strength and courage. He is an inspiration to us all. We have eight children and home school them. Everyone in the family has been challenged and we all have had to adjust a lot. Thank you so much for sending us an Exxon gas card recently. This makes a big difference for us. We have been traveling from Martinsburg, WV to Baltimore, MD often and our expenses have really increased. Each round trip for our 15 passenger van is $70 and for our car is $30. It is so wonderful to have organization like you to help out in a time of need. Thanks and God Bless you. "
